This is a happy day, my friends. 2009 is on its way out. I'm praying and believing that 2010 must be better. :D

I've decided this amphora of mine needs some music. I was going to go with Billy Idol. (the fact that I'm not marrying him still causes me some pain - but not really, because he's kind of a giant skeeze) So I decided on this song..... T'was the one that was playing when Nate and I went to Smokey Bones after getting engaged because it was still open and J. Alexanders was not.
And also some Billy Idol. Because he's Billy Idol.
o_O
I'mma be over here, remembering him like this....

It amuses me that the real music videos can't be embedded because they're awesome, but the more recent ones of him singing can be. Hmmmmmm.
And the ever popular.....
And also, a song that I can not post, per say, but if you were interested in a very cool sounding band with questionable lyrics (that can actually be deciphered)I'd recommend Obsessed with You by The Orion Experience. Very catchy, and very stuck in my head. I apologize.
I'm done.
Peace out! (that may be the first time I've ever used that expression)

Random story about how I decided to post again. I take quite a few surveys and get a solid amount of free stuff and cashola to make it worthwhile. This one survey just asked if I had a blog, and if so, what the URL was.
Hmmm. Well, technically yes, survey, I do have a blog. In fact, I have several. However, since I haven't updated any of them in well over 6 months, I'm not quite sure if that's what you're looking for, survey.
For amusement's sake, I decided to see if I could even log into this anymore. (Not that I'm giving excuses for this long dry spell, but if I was going to, the fact that I couldn't log in featured rather prominently). Lo and behold, I could log in!
A post-Christmas miracle!!
'Bout time.
This Christmas wasn't that much fun, folks. It was really hard and none of my family had an overabundance of Christmas spirit. Blasphemous or not, when Dad read the Christmas story, the only little baby I could think of was Luke. When we were all lined up on the stairs, with the video camera going, all I could think of was that I should be carrying my little brother down to suck on wrapping paper scraps, not his favorite stuffed toy (a two foot long caterpillar, if you're wondering). Instead, we had his picture and a candle for remembering him. *sigh*
I could be profane about how wrong all this is. I could wax eloquent about how I know Luke is with the Lord and how we all will see him again. I don't want to do either. I just miss the baby.
On Christmas Eve, we saw my dad's cousin's son. He was born 3 days after Luke was. I think that's the hardest part of him being gone - seeing other kids who get to live life, and knowing that my little brother never can. It's that he's never going to pick Cheerios up with two fingers, and rock like he's about to crawl or flail against the arms holding him or grow teeth or learn to talk or go eat fast food or talk about his projects and his cars and things like that. I don't know who Luke was going to be, and now I can't find out.
Hmmm.
Blessed be the name of the Lord
